About Emily

I was raised on a small family farm in central Alabama.  Throughout the years our farm has been home to Limousin and Angus cattle, horses, a donkey, a couple of pot-bellied pigs, and a multitude of dogs and cats.  I’m blessed to have a small piece of quiet to call my own.

I graduated from Auburn University in 2006 with a B.A. in English and in  2012 with a B.S. in Agriculture Communications, specializing in Public Relations and Promotion.  I am also actively involved with the Alabama Cattlemen’s and Cattlewomen’s Associations, as well as the county chapters of the associations.  I’m also blessed to serve on the Communications and Membership Committees for the American National CattleWomen, Inc.

I consider myself to be a “people person.”  I need to be around people to perform my best.  I believe that every person that you come in contact with is there to teach you something and guide you in decisions in your life.  The more people you know, the better chance you have of understanding a greater variety of ideas.  I value my family and my faith.  I believe that everything happens for a reason and that God puts certain people in your path to teach you things.

I truly value the relationship that I have with my parents and other family members.  Without my family, I wouldn’t be the person I am.

Attending Auburn is a family tradition! Both of my parents, two uncles and an aunt all attended Auburn! War Eagle!

Future Plans: I would truly enjoy working within the BEEF Industry and continue working towards promoting beef in a more positive light.  Until then–I’ll go wherever His path leads me.
